RM-78 Crane Body
Our most innovative crane body is built on a next generation torsion box understructure that delivers a powerful 78,000 pound-feet of lift and features an easy-to-upfit design.
Create a secure seal on your service body compartment doors without sacrificing convenience, all with the snap of a handle and padlock. The master-locking steel slide bar can simultaneously lock an entire compartment side to keep your tools and other equipment safe.
Flexible drawer options are available to boost your truck’s functionality. The RM-78 offers 7 and 10 drawer options—giving you the flexibility to organize your tools and equipment efficiently.
This option provides bright, energy-efficient illumination inside your compartments, making it easier to locate tools and equipment, even in low-light conditions.
Our RM Crane Bodies are designed to accept floodlights to increase your work-area visibility. Ultrabright LED 2,400-lumen lamps are adjustable to where you need them and keep you working safely after dark.

Outriggers
The RM-78 models are equipped with full-power hydraulic outriggers, delivering the confidence of safety and convenience working together. The hydraulic outriggers (78K) ensure stability and reliability, making these models ideal for heavy-duty lifting tasks.
Air Hose
The air hose reel payout is positioned at the rear for easy access, ensuring compressed air is readily available when needed. Designed for efficiency, this feature keeps your workflow smooth and your tools powered on the job site.
Tank Compartment
Designed for convenience and safety, the curbside tank compartment provides a secure storage solution for oxy-acetylene tanks. Keep your equipment organized and easily accessible while ensuring a streamlined workflow on the job site.
Integrated Headache Rack
The headache rack on the RM-78 protects the cab and provides the ideal mounting location for on-body work lighting. It also doubles as a wire channel, keeping wiring safely away from hazardous materials that may be stored in the tank compartment. This feature is integrated directly into the RM-78 for added convenience and safety.
Integrated Tie-downs
The 11′ and 14′ bodies come equipped with six fully integrated tie-down rings in the load floor. These allow you to utilize the entire bed when not in use.
Control Panel
The control panel is designed to pair with popular crane setups, as well as many compressor and accessory systems. Located in the curbside rear compartment, the control panel for the RM-78 allows you to operate the hydraulic outriggers with valve controls and the exterior lighting with push-button switches.
Safety Grab Handles
Reading RM crane body delivers three points of contact, to make it easy to climb in and out of the rear of the truck. Rear grab handles are generously sized, ergonomically placed, and included as standard equipment. Used in conjunction with our standard bumper steps, they help make the workday safer and easier.
Tow Package
Built for heavy-duty towing, the 30K Pintle Plate Tow Package provides reliable strength and durability for demanding job sites. Designed to handle up to 30,000 lbs. of towing capacity, this package ensures secure and efficient hauling for your toughest loads.
Vise Plate
A vise plate is included with the 23″ workbench bumper. This feature adds stability and convenience, providing a secure mounting point for your vise to handle tough jobs with ease. (Vise is sold separately)
